The Journey to see The Lord of the Dance in 3D

The journey began on March 22nd at 6pm at the Kings Highway and Quentin Road train station.  About 3 dozen O’Malley Irish Dancers and their parents took the Q train from Kings Highway to the 42nd Street Regal Movie Theater to see the sure to be historic showing of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance in 3D. The anticipation was building the entire 45 minute ride into the city.  The souls that braved the train trip met up with another 2 dozen dancers and parents at the theater.  The check in procedure was like any other movie… We arrived about 40 minutes early. We handed the ticket counter our pre-printed tickets. We waited on long lines to get our popcorn, candy and drinks. We took the escalator 2 flights up to the theater, picked our seats and settled down for what was to be one of the most enjoyable movie experiences of our lives. And that it was. We all sat there in awe as we saw what one can’t even describe. To see the legendary Michael Flatley on the big screen and in 3D was an amazing experience.
